"In the Dark is a love story in its own right. The way it's told, in flashback episodes, is a very interesting experience. Conrad and Desert Rose's story is one of passion, love, and secrets. The research into the time period brought back pleasant memories for me, a child of those times. I loved the rich detail included in this story, and in the way it was told. This is a truly romantic story, but not for everyone. But if you are willing to take the trip back and forth in time, you will find a different kind of happy ending to a story."

"IN THE DARK went far beyond my expectations. P. G. Forte brilliantly blends past and present, capturing the mood of both the sixties and the current time frame. I was intrigued by the plot as soon as I started reading and there were just enough tidbits to keep me hooked until the end. Ms. Forte sheds light on both the sexy side as well as the more animalistic side of the vampire. The storyline is complex and there are several secondary stories added into the mix that are just as compelling. This will appeal to both suspense and paranormal enthusiasts a like. I definitely look forward to the next release."

"Oh my goodness!!! In The Dark: Book One in the Children of the Night Series by P.G. Forte was a great read, as I was reading it I though about the old Nancy Drew books I read as a girl, you know where the mystery must be solved and the adventure and mischievous situations she always found herself in, that is if Nancy had fangs and drank blood. In The Dark is a love story that comes up against some major walls before suddenly coming to a crashing halt, but the story doesn't end there! No In the Dark takes you on a trip through San Francisco in the 1960s all the way to present day. P.G. Forte did a flawless job taking In The Dark from one time era to the next without loosing my interest or making the story confusing. "
